With the Interim Satellite Service (ISS) shutting down on the 28th of February, over 1000 customers have less than a week to move across to a Sky Muster™ service before losing their internet connection.
The nbn™ have issued a warning to the un-migrated customers that they need to act now to avoid the nasty shock of an internet-less home on the 1st of March.
Customers have been at the receiving end of a long campaign by the nbn™ and ISP’s encouraging them to migrate.
“This [campaign] has included numerous phone calls, direct mail, door-knocking and advertisements in newspapers and online news sites. However, despite our best efforts to contact people, we anticipate there will be a number of people left without a service by the end of the month.”
-nbn™ state Corporate Affairs manager Kylie Lindsay
The ISS was a temporary service put into use for rural and regional Australians while the long term Sky Muster™ satellite was in development. Sky Muster™ was launched in late 2016, with the majority of customers gradually migrated off the ISS and onto the newest service.
If you suspect you may be one of the 1000 soon to be left in the dark by the turning off of the ISS, call Activ8me on 13 22 88 today or visit us online at activ8me.net.au to switch across to Sky Muster™.
