NBN is Coming To Caboolture Region and will connect 40K homes

Residents in the Caboolture region who have been clamoring for fast and affordable Internet connection will soon have their dream come true as the NBN Company rolls out in the state capital of Queensland with over 400,000 homes set to be connected to the network this coming June. Longman Federal Liberal MP Wyatt Roy announced that the National Broadband Network had started activating more than 23,000 establishments in Caboolture, Upper Caboolture, Bellmere, Wamuran, Moodlu and the north of Caboolture to Elimbah from February 19 – 26, 2016 and will tap additional 11,600 residences on March 11.
“The NBN fibre-to-the-node fixed line is likely to deliver speeds of at least 25 megabits per second for download and 5 mbps for upload and has the potential to reach speeds of up to more than 100 mbps for downloads and 40 mbps for uploads,” Mr. Roy remarked.
Furthermore, about 11,600 premises on Bribie Island are expected to have NBN access, together with 3,500 households and enterprises at Ningi, Godwin Beach, and Sandstone Point on March 11.
By the middle of May, another 2,100 dwellings are scheduled to be connected in Ningi and Beachmere, as well as 11,700 properties in Burpengary, Burpengary East, and Narangba in the second half of 2016.
In 2017, consumer and business demands will continue as more than 6,900 homes and offices in Morayfield and Burpengary East, plus 900 establishments at Woodford, D’Aguilar, and Delaneys Creek have been planned to have access to ultra fast Internet connection. Fixed wireless NBN for rural and semi-rural properties in the Beachmere North, Beachmere West, Bellmere West, Donnybrook West, Meldale, Moorina, Narangba, Narangba West, Toorbul, Wamuran, Mount Mee, D’Aguilar, D’Aguilar South, Elimbah, Wamuran North, and Woodford areas will also begin construction next year.
Mr. Roy emphasised the significance of the NBN project to the residents and business owners in the region as a catalyst for change. “What this does is it ensures they have an incredibly good connection,” Mr. Roy stressed.
